DINING | AMMO HK

My obsession with copper has well and truly been reignited.

Though my love of the ductile metal never truly left, Interior Designer Joyce Wang has undoubtedly reminded me why I fell in the first instance.

AMMO Hong Kong, a project commissioned by HK Asia Society with the brief that insisted their headquarters be developed in such a way that screamed unique opulence. The images speak for themselves.

CLIP CHAIR

The clip chair by Blasius Osko and Oliver Deichmann.

Possibly the most aesthetically pleasing 'spare' chair we've seen. The type you'd happily utilise on more occasions than the usual Christmas Day emergency.

THE FRAME | KIEV

The Frame by Igor Sirotov

Exact forms, cool tones and open spaces. A true example of architectural detailing executed to perfection by Ukraine born Designer Igor Sirotov. The project 'Frame' collates a broad range of textures and finishes that contribute to the modern, minimalist identity of the building. It is these elements that too provide a contrasting dimension, a more intricate and detailed perspective.

142. CROCKERY

When did crockery get so cool? British born designer Max Lamb turns the tables on a typically 80s dining accessory. Quality isn't sacrificed for style either, each item is hand crafted using bone china, followed by a rather intricate carving process and finished with an edgy bisque texture.

The 142. collection includes a handful of other tableware essentials (and we mean essentials).
WANTED!!

HOMAGE LONDON

An indisputably industrial take on the modernist coffee table.

London based interiors HOMAGE have us lusting over this latest household addition. A solid Danish zinc top compliments an elegantly crafted, simplistic iron base. A must have accent to create that highly coveted loft-living come urban perception we each long for?

PHILIPPE STARCK FOR AXOR

In design, attention to detail is pivotal. A particular aspect of any interior that can effectively 'make or break' a rooms direction of style. Detail doesn't have to mean intricacy. The most minimal, simplistic of accents can dramatically create the above. Focusing on final fittings when styling any interior space can create an uber lucrative look.

We love Philippe Starcks collaboration with Axor, a collection of mixers/shower systems that will instantly add a new dimention to even the most drab of bathroom suites. Initially developed 20yrs previous, the collection has truly been brought to-date. Modern, minimalist and Eco conscious. New taps anyone?

RICHARD BRENDON | PATTERNITY

Warp and reason by Richard Brendon & Patternity

London based Designer Richard Brendon is behind the latest dining addition we are ultimately coveting. Bone china may be something we tend to associate with those born pre 60s, yet that affiliation seems somewhat long gone. With the intention of 'warping' consumers perceptions of a typically British accessory, the collection is undoubtedly a compliment to even the most modernist of interiors, even more so worthy of its price tag.

ARTURO MONTANELLI | CASA DI PIETRA

Casa di Pietra. Fiumelatte by Arturo Monatelli Architecture.

Monatelli redefines traditional architecture, bringing this Lake Como residence into the current modernist era. Designed with a vision in mind that would hold minimal impact upon the projects surroundings, here the use of locally sourced elements and natural building products executes Monatellis design ethos.

With a intermix of aged wood, stone and concrete which effectively are age old technologies, it is in actual fact the buildings visual form, the linear geometry and study of morphology that determine its neoteric state.

ART MEETS PRACTICALITY

A true failsafe when investing in furnishings? Opting for an iconic design classic. We love Bertoia's distinctive 'Diamond Chair', although effectively a 1950s experiment, decades on it still remains in high demand. This has to be the perfect addition to any living space.

FRENCH CONNECTION HOMEWARE

Unsure as to whether or not we've been residing (temporarily) on another planet, but forgive us for being unaware of the fact that high street chain French Connection ventured into the world of interiors during Spring 2012.

Whilst feeding through Elle Decorations July issue *all be it a few weeks late* only to glimpse at one of those annoying pamphlets that seem to be ingeniously stuffed within the centre spread, you know the handfull of A5s that will inevitably end underneath ones sofa? YES. Not a favourable marketing strategy of ours.

It was on the above that made a google search become such a priority. Only to discover, what the mind had initially conjured was indeed reality. More often than not, when a fashion retailer branches out towards a different industry (no matter how relative) it doesn't necessarily mean success. However, this really isn't the case here. From lighting, to occasional furniture and a seasonal inspired collection of home accencts, the guys over at French Connection seem to know what they're doing.

Providing you're a fan of the heavily coveted 'reclaimed' look, we think you'll love.

SAINT LAURENT PARIS | FLAGSHIP STORE

It has been almost a year since Heidi Silmane stepped forward and took reign as creative director of Yves Saint Laurent.

Rebranding and criticism from press aside, Silmane has undoubtedly proven that change is good. Having officially opened the doors of the fashion houses flagship store located on Avenue Montaigne (Paris), 'the Prince of Darkness' proves that his passion to develop the brands aesthetics covers more than the simplistic cut of this seasons cigarette pant.
The flagship store extrudes modern Parisian opulence. Marble finishes and nickel-plated brass create a dramatic monochromatic theme. Very much the resemblance of Silamnes influential impact within the indistry.

Our fingers are crossed that Londons Sloane Street store (which is due to re-open late autumn) will follow suit*

TODD ALEXANDER ROMANO | MANHATTAN APARTMENT

Designer Todd Alexander Romano opens his Manhattan 'Upper East Side' apartment exclusively to Elle. What can only be described as a live-in jewelry box, the properties vintage inspired aesthetics are encapsulated within 1,000 square feet of intensely executed period styles.

Romano describes his personal preference for interiors as 'highly schizophrenic', visually this philosophy clearly works. Stunning would be an understatement.
