PHOTOGRAPHIC ART | DAVID THOMAS SMITH

So called 'art' formed by digital images taken from Google maps. Questionable rite? Dublin based artist David Thomas Smith has undoubtedly proved otherwise. Smith has collated a series of landscaped images taken each from an aerial perspective. Appropriately named 'Anthropocene', a term used geographically to describe the impact human activity has on the earths ecosystems. Each image centered around social, economic and political importance.

The collection is currently on display at The Copper House Gallery in Dublin until May 23rd. If you're in the vicinity, this is definitely worth checking out!!
