Inspired by the projects intense Northern Idaho forest surroundings, Chicken Pot Cabin portrays the simplicity of a 'little box nestled amongst woodlands'. Oslong Kundig incorporated a vast 30ft window-wall that opens onto the surrounding landscape.A feature that not only is visually appealing, but also gives a true connection to the projects location.
Structurally comprising of raw materials, with concrete block, steel and plywood forming the development the cabin was purposely built from a low-maintenance perspective. Kundig wanted minimal impact upon surroundings.
An effortlessly modern, yet chic hideaway.
